Canatu's first reactor generates revenue – customer's mass production approaching

More important than the one-time payment is the fact that the granted license practically kicks off the customer's transition to mass production.

Canatu H1'25: Growth was pushed forward

The company's H1 figures were weak as expected, but the subdued outlook for the rest of the year was disappointing, and new reactor orders appear to be slipping into next year.

Nowadays, “real” line width (CD = Critical Dimension) is no longer used when referring to any transistor. Today’s “nodes” are pure marketing speak and have nothing to do with lithography terms. Previously, they clearly described the line width produced in lithography or the transistor...

As far as I know, for the Taylor fab the scale should be roughly around 50k wafers/month for logic and around 200k wafers/month for memory, but the exact mix will obviously depend on how the ramp actually plays out. When it comes to pellicles, it’s really hard to estimate anything...

Exactly as I wrote, and this is likely roughly correct. The number of wafers is key because next year we might be able to estimate (perhaps) from the financial statements how much the company gets per pellicle; that’s why it will be relevant in the future. Of course, you can also...

Not every layer or exposure of the wafer necessarily needs to be done with the same EUV specs. In other words, some layers can be made “larger”. So, you can’t directly conclude that an X-sized transistor and 25 exposures means EUV is used 25 times.

So 50,000 pellicles are consumed per month, or 50,000 wafers are produced per month? And the price estimate is €35k each per pellicle? As far as Canatu is concerned, the interest isn’t in how many wafers are produced per month, but how many pellicles are consumed. Does Canatu make...
