CANATU FINLAND OY’S CHANGE NEGOTIATIONS HAVE CONCLUDED

Canatu Finland Oy, a Finnish subsidiary of Canatu Plc, commenced change negotiations in accordance with the Finnish Co-operation Act on 31 August 2026. The change negotiations concerned the Operations function, the Robotics, Mobility and Defence unit, and the Medical Diagnostics unit. The negotiations were conducted on financial and production-related grounds. The change negotiations concluded on 11 September 2026, and the company has today made its decision based on the outcome of the negotiations. A shorter negotiation period was agreed jointly with the employee representatives.

The views, observations and proposals raised during the change negotiations were assessed following the conclusion of the negotiations as part of the company’s final decision-making process. Based on this assessment, the company has decided to terminate a maximum of 14 employment contracts on production-related and financial grounds as referred to in Chapter 7, Section 3 of the Employment Contracts Act.

The objective of the change negotiations was to adapt and improve the efficiency of the company’s operations in line with its revised strategy and to achieve cost savings supporting the company’s long-term ability to improve the profitability and cash flow of its business.

The negotiations covered all employees in the Operations function, excluding employees in its IT team, as well as all employees in the Robotics, Mobility and Defence unit and all employees in the Medical Diagnostics unit.

The negotiations were conducted with the representatives of all employee groups. During the negotiations, the plans, their alternatives and their impacts were discussed.

The company’s management has been authorized to implement the decisions in accordance with applicable laws and collective agreement provisions. The implementation measures are intended to commence as soon as possible.
