Finnair Plc               Investor News               7 August 2026 at 9:00 a.m. EEST

Passenger volumes, load factor and cargo traffic continued to develop well

In July, Finnair carried 1,243,800 passengers, which was 9.3% more than in July 2025, when the number of passengers was limited by capacity reductions following industrial action. Passenger numbers grew significantly in North Atlantic and European traffic, clearly in Asian traffic and slightly also in Domestic traffic. Flights to the Middle East were suspended on 28 February due to the heightened safety situation in the region.

Overall capacity, measured in available seat kilometres (ASK), increased by 3.6%. In the comparison period, capacity was limited by industrial action. In July 2026, capacity grew significantly in North Atlantic and European traffic, driven by the Toronto flights launched in May and new European destinations. Capacity increased slightly also in Asian traffic. In Domestic traffic, capacity decreased significantly due to a higher proportion of tag flights, i.e. frequencies to Northern Norway via Lapland. In Middle Eastern traffic, capacity fell to zero. Including wet lease outs, overall capacity remained stable.

Finnair's traffic, measured in revenue passenger kilometres (RPK), increased by 6.2%, supported by lower market capacity due to the war in the Middle East. RPKs grew significantly in North Atlantic and European traffic and clearly also in Asian traffic. In Middle Eastern and Domestic traffic, RPKs declined.

Passenger load factor (PLF) improved by 2.1% points to 85.0%. PLF improved in all traffic areas operated by Finnair in July.

Revenue per available seat kilometre (RASK) for July is not available at the time of publication of the traffic performance release, as financial reporting will be completed later in August due to the holiday season.

Total cargo tonnes increased by 13.1%, as European, Asian and North Atlantic cargo traffic tonnes saw significant growth. Revenue cargo tonne kilometres increased by 11.4%.

In July, 74.1% of all Finnair flights arrived on schedule compared to 75.8% in the comparison period. On-time performance was negatively affected by difficult weather conditions in Europe.

Traffic statistics for August 2026 will be published on Tuesday 8 September 2026.
