Here are Joni’s comments on Gofore’s February.  Gofore reported its February figures yesterday. Revenue grew strongly, driven by acquisitions, and slightly exceeded our forecasts. Organically, we estimate that revenue was at the level of the comparison period. Capacity grew slightly slower than expected, but the company reported that the development of the billable headcount was good at the start of the year, which is naturally positive. During the early part of the year, the company has announced two significant contracts that strengthen confidence in a revenue turnaround in the future. Here are Joni’s comments regarding this recent news about Gofore.  Gofore announced on Wednesday that its DACH region subsidiary has won a significant framework agreement with the ITZBund (Information Technology Center of the German Federal Government). The annual value of the agreement is estimated by Gofore to be several million or even 5 MEUR, making it a strategically significant entry into the German public sector. The agreement does not lead to immediate changes in our forecasts, but it strengthens our confidence in the company’s 2026 growth forecasts and the organic turnaround of the DACH region after challenging years. Gofore announced on Monday that the City of Espoo has selected the GoforeNostrum consortium as the primary provider for expert services related to digital transformation support. The contract has a duration of seven years, and its estimated total value over the entire contract period is approximately 44 MEUR. The contract does not lead to changes in forecasts, as this is a re-tendering. However, this strengthens our confidence in the company’s competitiveness in the highly competitive public sector, and it brings continuity especially in important re-tenderings. Witted Megacorp is an IT consulting company. The company offers a wide range of consulting services and IT solutions, mainly services related to project and business development. The solutions are used by a number of corporate customers in various sectors. In addition to the main business, various ancillary services are offered. The largest operations are found in the Nordic market.

Witted announced yesterday that it will continue its share buyback program. I personally view this positively. I see that it’s quite difficult to find good acquisition targets at the company’s own price, once the profitability improvement materializes. I suppose there is some positive sentiment in the industry, and as I understand it, Witted should be well-positioned as demand is likely focused on the most capable professionals.

If this trend continues, combined with the cost-saving measures implemented and the addition of Software Sauna, it should create solid conditions for profitability to rise to a reasonable level. Uncertainty certainly remains high, and many peers are still having a very difficult time, which is why I believe a conservative approach is still justified

Here are Frans’s comments on Witted’s February.  Witted’s February revenue grew by 10% year-on-year to EUR 4.8 million, slightly exceeding our forecast of EUR 4.7 million. Organic growth was 4.7% and better than our expectations (1.3%), reinforcing the positive trend seen in previous quarters. The number of experts grew almost entirely in line with our expectations to 366 (FTE), and the company’s comments on the demand situation remained cautiously positive. Overall, new sales have performed better in the early part of the year than in the comparison period. Revenue per expert was also better than our expectations and creates the conditions for the strengthening profitability development in our forecasts. We also estimate that our cautiously positive market outlook will continue, although increased geopolitical uncertainty is being closely monitored. For some of our customers, the rise in fuel prices has a negative impact either directly (e.g., travel and logistics sector customers) or indirectly through consumers’ fear of inflation (e.g., retail). There are also companies in our customer base that perform better in uncertain times or amidst rising energy prices, so the outlook for customer demand is not entirely black and white. We have not yet observed a concrete change in purchasing behavior among our customers, and new sales in February were at the level of the previous year.
