Ukraine's Ministry of Health submits proposal to the government on expanded use of osseointegration in healthcare

Mölndal, Sweden, 29 June 2026 – Integrum AB (publ) (Nasdaq First North Growth Market: INTEG B) announces that Ukraine's Ministry of Health (MOZ) has completed the preparatory phase of the proposal to introduce osseointegration as part of the national treatment of amputees. The proposal is now being forwarded to the Cabinet of Ministers for a government decision.

In early 2026, the Ukrainian government adopted a roadmap to reform the country's infrastructure for prosthetic treatment. At a high-level coordination meeting in April, attended by the Minister of Health, the Minister of Social Policy and the head of the National Health Service of Ukraine (NSZU), among others, a working group was established to prepare the pilot project and gather opinions from the relevant consultation bodies on the matter. The assessment now presented marks the conclusion of the working group's preparatory work, in which the consultation bodies' opinions have been reviewed and processed. The agency is now submitting the basis for the decision to the government's secretariat for further preparation. The government is expected to be in a position to decide on the financial and executive structure of the project.

"The decision by Ukraine's Ministry of Health to advance the proposal to make osseointegration part of Ukraine's public healthcare toward a binding government decision is very positive. It strengthens the recognition of the method as an established treatment and may, over time, give more amputees access to care with the OPRA® Implant System. We continue to follow the process closely and stand ready to support the country's healthcare providers and patients," says Martin Hillsten, CEO of Integrum.

Integrum's OPRA® has been used in approximately 100 osseointegration procedures in Ukraine since 2023. The company has established Centers of Excellence in Kyiv and Cherkasy; Dr Rickard Brånemark has been central to building the company's presence in the country and continues to support the clinical training of the country's surgeons; and in April 2026 the company recruited a business manager to coordinate its operations in the country. A state-funded pilot project would expand Integrum's addressable market and contribute to broader recognition of osseointegration as an established treatment method.
