<div class="mfn-body"><p>The Trelleborg Group has decided to invest in a new manufacturing facility in India that will specialize in marine systems and infrastructure. The country represents a robustly growing market, and the investment is part of Trelleborg’s strategy to strengthen its positions in attractive and profitable industrial segments and geographic areas.</p><p>“As one of the largest markets in the world, India is expected to experience healthy growth for many years to come. This progress drives an increasing need to upgrade and construct new infrastructure, such as commercial ports – a demand we are set to meet with our upcoming facility,” says Peter Nilsson, President and CEO of Trelleborg.</p><p>The manufacturing facility will be constructed near Ahmedabad, where Trelleborg already has a Marine &amp; infrastructure engineering and innovation center. The new facility will be adapted to future requirements for efficient production processes, reducing its environmental impact through efficient water management and steam production from solar heaters. The start of production is planned for late 2026, and the Group will invest a total of SEK 75 M from 2025 to 2026.</p><p>Trelleborg has operated in India for over 40 years, and sales in the country totaled nearly SEK 700 M in 2023. The company already operates in sealing solutions, automotive boots, cable protection for telecom equipment, and antivibration solutions for industrial applications, rails, and rolling stock.
