Spermosens AB (publ) ("Spermosens" or the "Company") announces that the Company has been admitted to the New Horizons Pavilion at the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Scientific Congress & Expo 2026 in Baltimore, USA. Spermosens will present JUNO-Checked at booth NH10 from 24 to 27 October 2026.
ASRM brings together clinicians, embryologists, laboratory specialists and companies in reproductive medicine. At the congress, Spermosens will present the JUNO-Checked Generation 3 system, which has been developed for the needs of clinics and laboratories and is currently being evaluated in a clinical validation study at the Reproductive Medicine Center (RMC) in Malmö.
Fertilization depends on a specific molecular interaction, in which IZUMO1 on the sperm binds to JUNO on the egg. Standard semen analysis measures sperm count, motility and morphology, but cannot measure this binding. JUNO-Checked is designed to measure the strength of the binding between sperm and JUNO, the receptor on the egg. In a clinical study completed in 2025 at RMC in Malmö, stronger sperm binding was associated with higher IVF fertilization rates.
Spermosens' strategy is to bring JUNO-Checked to the market through partnerships, in the form of licensing, distribution or co-development agreements with established companies in the fertility field. This approach is designed to reduce the Company's capital needs and give JUNO-Checked access to existing sales channels and customer relationships. Spermosens is in active dialogue with several relevant companies in Europe, the US and Asia, and the congress gives the Company the opportunity to meet both these and new potential partners in person.
