Sedana Medical AB har ikke sin egen tråd, selvom jeg tror, den er på mange investorers radar eller endda i porteføljen, i hvert fald hvis man er orienteret mod medtech-aktier. Virksomheden blev grundlagt i 2005, og dens hovedkontor ligger i Stockholm. Virksomheden er specialiseret i sedation, og målet er at lette og endda delvist revolutionere intensivbehandling ved at anvende en lettere, ikke-invasiv metode til patientens sedation gennem inhaleret sedation. Fordelen ved produktet er i det mindste lettere patientkontrol og en lettere, mindre invasiv behandling. Samtidig er det tydeligt, at dette visse steder er en billigere og mere effektiv behandlingsform, men på den anden side kan denne behandlingsmodel bestemt ikke anvendes på alle patienter. Virksomheden er på den ene side i en moden fase, idet der genereres omsætning, knap fire millioner euro pr. kvartal, men på den anden side i en udviklingsfase i den forstand, at EBITDA er -4 %. Der er lidt over 10 millioner euro i kassen, og burn rate i sidste kvartal var omkring tre millioner euro. Jeg gik selv ind i denne investering i sin tid med en såkaldt observationsposition, fordi virksomhedens produkt især under corona-årene føltes meget aktuelt og interessant. Desværre er virksomhedens cashflow stadig svagt, og salget har ikke helt levet op til de vildeste forventninger. Virksomheden er derfor med hensyn til finansiering sandsynligvis stadig afhængig af aktieemissioner, og det er svært at danne sig et klart billede af den fremtidige kursudvikling. På den anden side kan det netop på dette tidspunkt, efter en lidt blød kvartalsrapport, være et godt tidspunkt at slå til på aktien i denne virksomhed, der revolutionerer intensivbehandling. Forhåbentlig kan medtech-eksperterne i Inderes’ fællesskab bidrage til at analysere denne uslebne diamant. Under alle omstændigheder er investorerne i godt selskab, da den største ejer er den erfarne medtech-investor Bengt Julander med en andel på 13,6 %, og ejerskabet er ellers spredt. I værste/bedste fald falder denne lovende virksomhed i den tidlige fase i skødet på en større aktør til en god pris, men det mest interessante ville dog være at få en god langsigtet investering ud af dette.
