Resurs Holding publishes 2022 Annual and Sustainability Report

The Board of Directors and CEO hereby present the 2022 Annual and Sustainability Report for Resurs Holding AB (publ). Resurs presents a Sustainability Report prepared in accordance with the Core option of the Global Reporting Initiative Standards as an integrated part of its Annual Report.

– 2022 was a successful year for Resurs. Our business segments, Payment Solutions and Consumer Loans, showed healthy growth despite more challenging times. We welcomed new partners, including JYSK and Komplett, while we strengthened our business financing sustainable investments in the home. The development of our new cloud-based core banking system is also proceeding according to plan. Together we are delivering on our transformation journey and we are moving full speed ahead into 2023 as well, says Nils Carlsson, CEO Resurs Holding AB.

A number of trends were broken for Resurs during 2022. Excluding nonrecurring items and net income from financial transactions, profit increased 8 per cent year-on-year.

– Stabilizing the negative margin trend was an important focus in 2022. Therefore, it is gratifying that we succeeded in stabilizing this trend during the second half of the year as a result of our active efforts to optimize our pricing, as well as a strategically prioritising higher profitability above volume growth in Consumer Loans, says Nils Carlsson.

As part of the transformation journey, Resurs continued to develop the sustainability work. Among other things, Resurs signed the UN Principles for Responsible Banking.

– This is proof of our ambition to be a sustainable and responsible player. Another proof is that our work to promote a positive and inclusive credit market is Resurs Society where the purpose is to support, inspire and create tools and knowledge for our stakeholders. We also launched an economic school, My Economy, and appointed an Youth Ambassador who focuses on working with young people and finances, says Henrik Linder, Nordic Sustainability Manager, Resurs Holding AB.
