The assignment follows an extended project development phase in which NCC collaborated with the various owners of the project. This is a partnership that will continue going forward. The contract that NCC has now signed covers earthwork and foundation engineering ahead of the planned construction, including roads for construction traffic as well as pile driving and the removal of excavation masses.
"NCC has been involved in developing this project for a long time and has worked closely with all parties involved. This agreement marks an important step toward realizing the data center in the Pori Copper Industrial Park, and we look forward to starting the preparatory work," says Catarina Molén-Runnäs, Head of NCC Building Nordics.
Work begins in autumn 2026 and is expected to be completed in spring 2027. The construction of the data center facility itself will be handled under a separate process.
The order value of approximately SEK 260 million will be registered in the NCC Building Nordics business area in the fourth quarter of 2026.
