MING: SpareBank 1 SMN raises interest rates

Norges Bank decided to raise its key policy rate to 4.25 percent last week.
SpareBank 1 SMN has decided to raise its interest rates by 0.25 percentage
points in response to Norges Bank's decision to increase its key policy rate.

"Global events are impacting us locally here in Norway. While most households
have the financial capacity to absorb Norges Bank's interest-rate increase, we
need to be ready for continuing uncertainty. We encourage customers who are
concerned about their finances or who face financial challenges to contact us,"
says Monica Haftorn Iversen, Executive Director Retail Banking at SpareBank 1
SMN.

Affected customers will shortly receive information on how the interest-rate
adjustment will affect their specific mortgage. The increase will take effect
for existing loans as of 13th July, and for new loans as of 13th July. Interest
rates will rise by differing amounts for different customer groups.

SpareBank 1 SMN is also increasing its deposit rates by up to 0.25 percentage
points. This change will take effect on 12th July.

Trondheim, 11th May 2026.
