Goodtech has signed an EPC contract with Nussir ASA with a contract value of approximately NOK 240 million. Under the contract, Goodtech will deliver the complete electrical, instrumentation and control (EIC) systems for the surface facilities of the Nussir copper project in Repparfjord, Finnmark.
Nussir ASA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Moon Metals Inc, a Canadian, Nasdaq-listed mining company developing brownfield copper and critical metals projects in Norway and the United States. The Nussir project comprises an underground copper mine and a processing plant that aims to produce approximately 20,000 tonnes of high-grade copper concentrate per year. Copper is a critical metal for electrification and the green transition, from power grids to electric vehicles.
As an EPC contractor for the EIC scope, Goodtech will be responsible for engineering, procurement, installation, construction management, testing and commissioning of the electrical and automation systems for the project's surface facilities. The delivery includes power distribution, electrical infrastructure, instrumentation, process control systems, SCADA solutions and the digital infrastructure required for safe and efficient plant operations. In short, Goodtech will deliver the electrical and control backbone of the facility.
Local presence is an important part of the delivery. Goodtech will work closely with local partners and suppliers in Finnmark throughout the project, combining regional capacity with Goodtech's engineering expertise. This ensures efficient execution close to the site and contributes to regional value creation.
