Bravida Holding AB: Bravida awarded contract worth around SEK 90 million as Lantmännen Biorefineries builds new protein manufacturing facility in Lidköping
Bravida has been given responsibility for several installations as Lantmännen invests SEK 1.2 billion in a new plant-based protein facility in Lidköping, which is the largest investment of its kind in Sweden.
Lantmännen Biorefineries' new facility will process peas and fava beans to create plant-based protein (known as protein isolate) for use in foodstuffs. Each year, around 35,000 tonnes of peas and 5,000 tonnes of fava beans will be converted into around 7,000 tonnes of protein isolate. The investment will help increase pea cultivation in Sweden by 50 percent and reduce the need for imported soya, thereby enabling food production that is more sustainable.
Bravida's assignment includes an extensive range of technical installations in the new facility, for example electricity, plumbing, HVAC, control and sprinkler systems, as well as process electricity and district heating connections.
"We are very pleased to be working on this project with Lantmännen. It gives us the opportunity to demonstrate Bravida's expertise and skill in coordinating installation activities and combining our technology areas to deliver efficient solutions and high-quality results," comments Kenneth Gustafsson, Project Manager at Bravida's Skövde VS branch.
Bravida's assignment has already started and is scheduled for completion in October 2026. The order has been booked to Bravida's order intake for the second quarter of 2025.
