Betonmast, a subsidiary of AF Gruppen, has signed a contract with Sit (the
Student Welfare Organisation in Gjøvik, Ålesund and Trondheim) to build 724
student housing units in Trondheim. The commission is a turn key contract with a
value of approximately NOK 930 million, excluding VAT.
The Nardoveien project consists of four block slabs that extend over a base at
the bottom where the students' common areas are located. The project has a total
gross area of approx. 25,100m2 and accommodates 843 students in 724 bedsits. The
base's common areas include living rooms, reading halls, a communal kitchen,
kiosk, gym etc. The project also includes plenty of outdoor areas, including
four roof terraces, two of which are connected to separate kitchens.
The project is the second Betonmast has entered into with Sit in Trondheim in
2023. Earlier this year, the parties entered into an agreement for the
construction of 108 student housing units in the city.
"There is a great need for student housing in Trondheim, and the realisation of
Nardoveien will be an important contribution to alleviating the housing
situation in the city. Following a good collaboration period, we are now looking
forward to continuing the good partnership with Sit in the execution phase of
this project," says Peter Sandrup, CEO of Betonmast.
Construction is scheduled to begin during Q1 2024, and is expected to be
completed in Q2 2027.
