Ascelia Pharma – Presentation of Q2 2026 results

Ascelia Pharma is expected to release its Q2 2026 results on 20 August 2026. The following day at 10:00, CEO Magnus Corfitzen will present the results and provide an update on the company's latest developments in a live online event.
The newsflow since the Q1 report has been substantial. On 3 July, Ascelia announced that the FDA had issued a Complete Response Letter for the Orviglance NDA rather than an approval. In mid-July, the FDA published a redacted version of the letter, and the company issued a press release setting out its own clarifications on the SPARKLE re-read. On 15 July, Ascelia announced organisational changes and cost reductions, including the departure of CFO Anton Hansson. On 17 August, the company announced that the FDA has scheduled a Type A meeting for 9 September 2026, that a briefing package covering statistical and clinical, product quality and regulatory topics has been submitted, and that the actions requested by the agency on product quality have been implemented.
The Q2 presentation therefore arrives between the CRL and the Type A meeting. In addition to the financial results, focus is expected to be on the cash position at the end of June, and the effect of the announced cost reductions on the quarterly burn rate and the updated cash runway. On the regulatory side, the scope for management commentary is likely to be limited ahead of the meeting on 9 September.
