Summa Defence is a Finnish defence and security technology group. The fate of individual entrepreneurs caught up in the mess is truly sad.

Summa’s new CFO, Petter Ruda, previously held the position of “Chief Financial Officer, Interim CFO CEO, Business Advisor, Management Consultant” at Carassio Ltd, according to his LinkedIn profile. This company was founded last August, and in a very Summa-like fashion, they hadn’t yet registered in the tax registries. Seems like the right recruitment. The gentleman also holds a couple of board memberships in a company comparable in size to a small barbershop/hair salon.

Hey there, Emilia and her husband personally guaranteed their company’s loans with a few hundred thousand, and they only received shares as the sale price for their business. Loan repayments and interest are still running, and their risk increases as the value of their shares has dropped. The bank also apparently demands additional collateral or an extra loan repayment. Have you never had your own business?

One can speculate why Hans Niemi, a friend of active owners and CEO of Sunborn, and his company Saga Palvelut have been so eagerly buying Summa shares for several months, but now reduced their holdings by approximately 160,000 shares. Surprisingly many new additions can also be found on the TOP100 list, with a couple holding positions of about 50,000 shares.

Well, one can disagree with that, starting with what day of the week tomorrow is. But whether it rises or falls in one day, it’s hard to find reasons for a longer upward trend. Let alone for someone to buy Summa as an investment instead of a casino game.

The deal was to buy at 0.04 and sell at 0.05, making a +25% profit, and this worked a few times. Even the last time, shares bought at 0.04 reached 0.05 as the day’s high. After that, it started to decline, and 0.048 was on the board when the stock was reverse-split, and I myself didn’t suggest here that shares bought for four euros could be sold for five. Today, I believe my morning message was correct, and specifically in advance. The main driver for the accounting was that emergency funding would be received, although it wasn’t one hundred percent certain beforehand. Today, Tuesday, it’s crystal clear that the rise will continue tomorrow, Wednesday, there’s no doubt about it. Quick trading will bring home some pesetas for a while now.

The stock’s trading volume, however, wasn’t very high for the rising price, and the total daily volume was less than 90,000. In hindsight, it’s always easy to calculate the difference between the day’s low and high prices. But you were also of the opinion back then that it was worth buying the stock below 4 euros and waiting for the price to rise to 5 euros. The financial statement was as grim as expected. There’s hardly any talk about drones anymore. And moving to the main list is not timely. Losses are accumulating, they’re limping along with emergency funding, and a turnaround to profitability in H2 is not credible. But it’s worth trying to maintain the illusion, as the share transfer restrictions end at the end of the year.
