LapWall operates in the building products industry with several factories. The company manufactures wooden wall and ceiling elements in factory conditions for construction companies. It was supposed to come but didn’t. But I’m sure it will be paid in the coming days.

I thought Lapwall would pay dividends on March 26th. However, none landed in my account.

I just got around to listening to Jarmo Pekkarinen’s presentation at the general meeting. What an excellent package. There was one brilliant statement in it that I just had to share with a friend working in the same field. “LapWall does not do business with broke customers.”

So, a €6M improvement potential. 2/3, or €4M, of the potential from materials. Materials purchased for €18M. Material cost reduction potential of 22%. Did I get that right? It seems like such a huge potential. Of course, if you first get 5% off the price through procurement, then reduce waste by 5%, you’ve saved 10%. In addition, the operational costs and waste fees for handling that 5% waste material are eliminated. That’s how it starts, piece by piece. Thank you for the openness and honesty in your communication. It’s nice to always hear honestly presented areas where one’s own operations can and must be improved. Communication often tends to focus on finding only the good qualities in oneself and attributing all difficulties to the market. I must give credit for what has been achieved in fifteen years.  And it will be interesting to follow what the next fifteen years bring.

Thank you for the excellent question. We will not elaborate further on the calculation basis. Part of this is directly related to operational execution and cost structure, which are competitively sensitive. Furthermore, as a publicly listed company, we must ensure that all information provided to the market is equitable and compliant with reporting practices. What I have wanted to highlight is the order of magnitude and the way of thinking, not a specific calculation. Ultimately, these matters will be reflected in the results. That is how we will be evaluated.

We included the expected investment decision that LapWall sealed last week for the Pyhäntä unit in our forecasts. We expect it to create value for shareholders as profitable growth but expect the benefits to be clearly visible in the figures only from 2027 onwards. In the shorter term, we believe the stock will be driven by the development of the Finnish construction cycle in particular and the company’s earnings outlook for 2024-2025, which depends on it.
