Here is a new company report on Betolar from Tommi following H2.  Betolar’s financial statements release was somewhat neutral relative to our expectations, as the forecast figures fell slightly short of our expectations, but the guidance pointed to significant growth. We lowered our revenue forecasts, but we still expect clear growth in the coming years, supported by metal separation technology. The company’s risk level remains very high in relation to the balance sheet, forecasts, and valuation. Thus, despite the potential longer-term growth story, the risk-reward ratio is, in our view, lackluster. We reiterate our Reduce recommendation and EUR 1.3 target price. On results day, our attention is focused on the company’s comments regarding the development of the tightened balance sheet situation, as well as the progress of the largest project in the company’s history, which we understand to be in the delivery phase. New name for Betolar’s Board of Directors Eeva Ruokonen is proposed as a new member of Betolar’s Board of Directors. According to the proposal, six members will be elected to the board. Eeva Ruokonen is proposed to be elected as a new member. Ruokonen has over 35 years of experience in the mining and metallurgical industries.

Here are Tommi’s preview comments as Betolar releases its H2 results on Thursday, Feb 5.  We expect H2 revenue to have grown slightly from the comparison period and tight cost control to have reduced losses and improved cash flow, despite which we estimate that Betolar will need additional financing during 2026. Spurred by the large order in October, we expect an upward level correction in new orders in H2’25. In the release, our attention will be on the progress of the large order’s delivery, potential new partnerships, and updates on the new technology that enables metal separation and green concrete production. <p>We initiate coverage of the materials technology company Betolar with a Reduce recommendation and a EUR 3.00 target price. Betolar has since 2016 developed the Geoprime concept that allows cement to be replaced in concrete production. Its biggest benefit is a clear reduction in CO2 emissions from concrete production. As a whole, we see the valuation of Betolar’s share as too high relative to the risks in the short term, and therefore wait for the risk/return-ratio of the share to improve.</p>
