During the strategy period 2025–2029, the Housing CEE segment aims to achieve at least 15% annual growth, at least 15% adjusted operating profit percentage, and at least 25% return on capital employed. In the first quarter of 2026, YIT launched the following self-developed projects, with a total value of over EUR 61 million:   Kattila Kamyk, Prague, Czech Republic: a detached project comprising 73 apartments in the quiet Prague 12 district. The property offers a wide selection of smaller and larger apartments. Terraces on the upper floors and a rooftop garden enhance living comfort.   Smilgas 1, Riga, Latvia: the first building in a four-building area complex, with 57 apartments in the green Pļavnieki area. The A-energy class building incorporates sustainable solutions and allows for lower living costs.   Mārpagalmi 5, Riga, Latvia: the fourth building in the Mārpagalmi area complex, with 34 apartments. The residential block combines the urban character of Āgenskalns with a small-town atmosphere. Green courtyards guide the design, creating a child-friendly, nature-close environment.   Piliamiestis Nemunėlis, Kaunas, Lithuania: a 33-apartment building completes the eastern part of the beautiful and popular Piliamiestis area project located on the bank of the Neris River.   Naujasis Skansenas VI Phase II, Vilnius, Lithuania: this phase of the Naujasis Skansenas area project consists of three buildings with a total of 107 apartments. This is the second half of the latest phase of the stylish area project, conveniently located close to the center of Vilnius.

Located approximately a 10-minute walk from the center of Tampere, the nine-story apartment building will feature 36 new YIT Homes (YIT Kotia). In connection with the construction work, a share of the block’s shared underground parking garage, located beneath the deck courtyard and equipped with charging readiness for electric cars, will also be completed. The value of the project is over EUR 17 million. The YIT Homes at Asunto Oy Tampereen Näsinsäde will be completed in December 2026. YIT has been building apartment buildings in Ranta-Tampella since 2016.

Here are Atte’s comments on YIT making changes to its reporting.  YIT announced on Friday that it will adopt the percentage-of-completion method for revenue recognition in its segment reporting starting from the first quarter of 2026. The change was expected, as the company had already anticipated the transition in connection with its Q4 results published in early February. We welcome the reform, as it improves the transparency of financial reporting and reduces the significant quarterly volatility in revenue and earnings caused by the timing of housing completions. The announcement results in technical changes to our forecasts, which we will update before the publication of the company’s first-quarter results. The contract agreement between the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency and YIT was signed on March 5, 2026, and its value is approximately EUR 73 million. The project will be recorded in the order backlog for the first quarter of 2026. Preparatory work will begin during March, and the estimated completion of the contract is in 2029. YIT has been involved in the construction of the project from its beginning and also serves as the main contractor for the excavation contract and as one of the main contractors for area contract 2.
