Volvo Car AB (publ): Volvo Cars reports rolling three-month sales for the period ending July 2026

Volvo Cars reported global sales of 164,663 cars for the three-month period between May and July 2026, down by 4 per cent compared to the same period last year.

Volvo Cars' sales in the US demonstrated recovery for the third consecutive month with a double digit increase while deliveries in Europe remained steady with moderate growth. However, the company's sales performance for the period was significantly impacted by the market downturn in China.

The company's sales of electrified models - fully electric and plug-in hybrid models - grew 15 per cent and accounted for 53 per cent of all cars sold during the three-month period. Fully electric cars comprised 27 per cent of all cars, and plug-in hybrid models accounted for 26 per cent.

"We are encouraged by the recovery in the US as the overall industry is gaining momentum. Our performance in Europe also remains resilient, driven by the fully electric cars, the EX30 and EX40," said Erik Severinson, Chief Commercial Officer at Volvo Cars. "In addition, we are maintaining pricing discipline in Europe and have seen a sustained increase in retail orders for our fully electric cars. We delivered this performance without the game-changing EX60 and are now gearing up to gradually ramp up production and increase customer deliveries in the second half of the year."
