I wonder if this has a future as an esport; does anyone have any good analyses on whether CSG games work as esports? Among the owners is still Savvy Gaming, which has connections to major esports events.

And Affärsvärden also has plenty of faith in the future of Coffee Stain’s business.  Lars went and completed another “support purchase” of 275,000 shares at a price of 17.93 SEK. In the context of Lars’s holdings, these are not a major move but more of a signal of support; let’s wait and see if the operational management starts buying shares at these levels. But CSG likely won’t turn around easily as long as the big-picture narrative in the gaming industry is that “AI will make all the games.” So we might have to follow this downward slide for a while; the reason is not the company itself. But there are tools to break free from this narrative if CSG maintains good margins, gets RogueCore selling, keeps costs under control, and the communities continue to grow. In other words, through the numbers.

After the open, the reaction was positive, but now, an hour later, the gains have already been erased. Sentiment in the gaming industry is incredibly bearish. What do the results matter when the narrative is that AI is coming to disrupt it all soon.

Against all logic, the stock will probably dive today.  It didn’t plunge, and it looks like a defensive victory; hopefully the worst of the former Embracer folks’ rush to exit will soon be over. Why can’t AI generate anything worth watching for TV? Is it harder than making entirely new games, and will AI reach committed players through a “word of mouth” similar to CSG?  Satisfactory’s console release was successful, and with Valheim’s 1.0 (for consoles) coming at the end of the year, it’s bound to have an impact. Based on what I’ve read here on the forum, there’s a fairly large group of investors who have been involved with the games.
