Work on the first stage of the project's final phase is now getting underway. NCC will build three new residential blocks at the Tidaholm facility and perform related preparatory groundwork.

"We are now entering a new phase at the Tidaholm facility, and will draw on the insights and methods developed by NCC earlier in the project. We have laid a solid foundation for embarking on the next phase, ensuring a high level of safety and productivity, and focusing strongly on the needs of the facility. We look forward to continuing our close collaboration with all parties," says Niklas Sparw, Head of NCC Building Sweden.

The Tidaholm correctional facility has the highest security classification. NCC has been carrying out extensive renovation and expansion work at the facility since 2021 to adapt the premises more effectively to its current operations and needs. The work that is now beginning will be the fifth and final phase of the project.

Production will commence in the fourth quarter of 2026 and is scheduled for completion in 2029. The order value is approximately SEK 470 million and will be registered in the NCC Building Sweden business area in the fourth quarter of 2026.
