It will also be interesting to see whether the competition authority grants Otava permission to acquire Alma Media shares and if things start to happen after that permission is granted.

This could very well be possible. It could lead to further arrangements if Ilkka has been an obstacle to Alma’s larger arrangements.

It looks like the unification of Ilkka’s share series will be triggered at the spring annual general meeting. After that, Keskisuomalainen & Co will liquidate Ilkka’s Alma Media holdings.

Korttila has held his current position since 2007.&nbsp;As of 1 January 2027, Tiina Kerttula (45) has been appointed as his successor.
