Idun invests in AGB – leading service partner for press tools used by plumbers

Idun Industrier

Idun Industrier AB (publ) ("Idun") has acquired 85% of the shares in Anders & Gunilla Bennarsten Service AB ("AGB"), a leading company in Sweden within service, calibration, and repair of press tools. These tools are essential for many plumbers as they enable tight pipe connections without the need for welding or soldering.

AGB was founded in 2008 and has since built a very strong position in the Swedish market as a service company focused on calibration, servicing, and repair of press tools, primarily for plumbers. The business is characterized by recurring customer needs and long-term relationships, where the company's high technical expertise and ability to quickly assist customers are central to its offering.

The company is based in Kalmar, with an additional service workshop in Stockholm. Revenue amounts to approximately SEK 30 million with solid profitability.

The founder Anders Wiksten will remain both a significant shareholder and continue in an operational role in the company following the transaction, meaning the business will continue to be run by the same people and in the same successful way as historically.

"It feels reassuring to have Idun as a long-term ownership partner. I have built the company over many years and look forward to continuing to develop the business together with Idun, with the same focus on quality, service, and customer value as always," says Anders Wiksten, CEO and co-owner of AGB.

"AGB is a very well-managed company with a strong position in its rather specialized niche in the Swedish market. The business is characterized by a high level of service, close customer relationships, high customer satisfaction, and recurring demand. We are proud to have been given the trust to invest in AGB and look forward to continuing to develop the company together with Anders and the other employees," says Henrik Mella, CEO of Idun Industrier.

AGB will be part of Idun's Service & Maintenance business area. The acquisition was carried out through a wholly owned subsidiary of Idun, with closing on May 8, 2026. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive impact on Idun's earnings for 2026 and is financed through a combination of internal funds and existing credit facilities.
