Epiroc announces changes to Group Management

Stockholm, Sweden: Epiroc AB, a leading productivity and sustainability partner for the mining and infrastructure industries, has appointed Ulrika Areskog Lilja as Senior Vice President Brand & Communications, and Katarina Nilsson as Senior Vice President People & Leadership. They will join Epiroc's Group Management and will succeed Nadim Penser, Senior Vice President Brand & Communications and Human Resources, who is retiring from Epiroc after almost 35 years in the Group.

Ulrika Areskog Lilja will serve as SVP Brand & Communications starting on November 2, 2026. She has extensive experience leading brand and communications as part of executive leadership teams in large global market-leading companies. Most recently she served as Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications at the bank SEB, and previously she served in senior roles at forest industry company Stora Enso and steelmaker SSAB. Ulrika Areskog Lilja, born 1975, is a Swedish citizen. Her education includes an M.Sc. in Business Administration and Economics from Uppsala University, Sweden.

Katarina Nilsson will serve as SVP People & Leadership starting on September 1, 2026. She currently serves as Vice President People, Leadership & SHEQ at Epiroc's Underground division, and has been with the Group since 2023. She also has extensive experience from executive teams in global market-leading companies, serving in legal and human resources roles, and has worked in China for a decade. Before joining Epiroc her roles included serving as General Counsel at battery manufacturer Northvolt, and as General Counsel at forest industry company SCA. Katarina Nilsson, born 1971, is a Swedish citizen. Her education includes a Master of Laws from Lund University, Sweden.

I am looking forward to welcoming Ulrika Areskog Lilja to Epiroc, and to work even closer with Katarina Nilsson."

With these changes, Epiroc is expanding its Group Management team from six to seven members.
