EnergyO Solutions Invest AB ("EOS") has today received information that the Swedish Tax Agency has decided on tax penalties amounting to SEK 31.6 million as a result of EOS having reported value changes in the wrong way in its tax returns for 2018 and 2020. EOS will appeal these decisions.
When preparing income declarations related to the years 2018 and 2020 for tax purposes, EOS inadvertently reported in the wrong way certain reductions in the value of its participations in subsidiaries. The Swedish Tax Agency has decided to levy penalties for these incorrect tax filings. The tax surcharges for 2018 and 2020 amount to SEK 6.8 million and SEK 24.8 million, respectively. EOS will appeal these decisions and will not pay the stipulated amounts before a final decision has been made.
