Here are fresh comments from Joni on Elisa’s results  Elisa’s Q1 report published this morning was slightly softer than our expectations in terms of figures, but the most important thing was the easing of competition. Revenue decreased, driven by low-margin device sales, and the important telecom revenue grew only slightly. However, the comparable result grew and was in line with our expectations. We consider the easing of competition to be the report’s most important message, as we estimate it will support the development of ARPU and profitability going forward. Here is a pre-earnings report from Joni, as Elisa reports its Q1 results on Tuesday, April 21.  Elisa will publish its Q1 interim report on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, and the company’s earnings release can be followed here at 12:00 PM. We expect the company’s revenue growth to have remained moderate and earnings performance to have been supported by the cost-savings program, which has reached full scale during the early part of the year. In the report, our interest is focused especially on the competitive situation in the mobile market and whether the talk from the start of the year about easing competition has been reflected in the stabilization of price pressure and customer churn. Elisa’s Head of Consumer Business is leaving the company. “LL.M. Henri Korpi (52) has been appointed as Executive Vice President of Elisa’s Consumer Customer business as of February 10, 2026, and M.Sc. Mikko Soirola (56) has been appointed as CEO of Elisa Industriq (Elisa’s international software services) and a member of Elisa’s Executive Board as of March 30, 2026. “Vesa-Pekka Nikula, the current Executive Vice President of Elisa’s Consumer Customer business, will leave the company’s Executive Board on February 10, 2026, and will end his employment with the company in August 2026.” There is no mention of his next job, so it is possible that Vesa-Pekka was let go.
