Less than two weeks after activating its clinical site, Pila Pharma has dosed the first two participants in its 12-week obesity trial. The study evaluates the oral drug candidate XEN-D0501 at doses up to four times higher than previously tested in humans. To manage the escalation safely, the trial kicks off with a smaller pilot cohort before expanding to the full patient group.
