Acarix is a diagnostics company. The company has developed a technology that enables the identification of coronary artery disease. The company's product is a non-invasive test that is applied with a patch to the patient to analyze sounds from the heart. The business is conducted primarily within the Nordic market. The company was founded in 2009 as a spin-off from Coloplast. The headquarters are located in Malmö.

På min rejse i søgen efter det nye Revenio, i et land, hvor der blev talt en vag form for finsk-svensk, og som blev styret af Carl XVI Gustaf, stødte jeg på et firma ved navn Acarix. Og jeg sammenligner ikke dette med at være det nye Revenio. Til diagnosticering af koronararteriesygdom er den stadig almindelige grundlæggende undersøgelse en stresstest, som er både dyr, svær at arrangere og tidskrævende. En anden almindelig mulighed er CT-scanning, men også dette er dyrt og svært at arrangere. Acarix har opfundet en penge- og tidsbesparende løsning til dette til screening af første niveau patienter, dvs. med det formål at afgøre, hvem der skal sendes til yderligere undersøgelser, og hvem der ikke skal. I løbet af efteråret burde der allerede være fremskridt at høre fra mindst nogle af disse. Nye positive forskningsresultater er blevet offentliggjort for nylig, og nyhedsstrømmen har i øvrigt været positiv. Omsætningen er lille, men virksomheden ser ud til at have god fremdrift og tilladelserne i orden. Den næste trigger for aktien er netop disse refusionsløsninger, hvorefter salget for alvor burde komme i gang. Virksomheden har en Razor/Razorblade-lignende forretningsmodel, dvs. der sælges en enhed og sammen med den, som et løbende salg, engangs hygiejniske fastgørelsesdele. Virksomhedens likviditetssituation er noget dårlig, sandsynligvis kommer der en ny finansieringsrunde inden udgangen af dette år.
