OptiCept enters a second deal in a short time
On Tuesday, April 9th, OptiCept announced an agreement with a customer in Spain, Aceites Canoliva, regarding OliveCept. A second deal in two days is of course encouraging and supports the realization of our estimates that assume also further orders for the segment in 2024, but don't trigger immediate estimate changes.
OptiCept secures another customer in the key market for OliveCept segment
Yesterday, OptiCept announced an agreement with a customer in Spain involving two OliveCept systems, which we comment here in more detail. On April 9th, the company communicated that a second customer has chosen to invest in OliveCept technology. The machine, likely either the Odin or Thor model based on its sales price, underwent testing during the previous season and will be officially acquired by the customer through contract signature. The order holds a value of approximately ~0.2 MEUR (approximately 1.8 MSEK) with payment terms 30 days from the signing of the contract.
Visibility into growth is slightly better
During the fall, OptiCept communicated various evaluation agreements with OliveCept customers in its market updates. Thus, the recent deals are not surprising in nature, even though winning customers that operate in the central hub of the world’s olive oil production is a clear milestone and positive development for the company. The recent agreements support the foundations for our estimates but do not put immediate pressure on estimates changes. Our estimates already include an expectation that OptiCept’s revenue will grow strongly from 9.1 MSEK in 2023 to 26.7 MSEK in 2024. The recent deals provide slightly enhanced visibility into this growth, particularly within the FoodTech segment, now supported by three machine orders. Furthermore, with the support of these customer references, the company is also better positioned to win new similar customers.
