GreenMobility: LOI signed for Collaboration on Autonomous Vehicles

Af Michael FriisHead of Equities
GreenMobility

This morning, GreenMobility announced a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) with Tensor to explore a potential collaboration for the future deployment of up to 2,000 Tensor Robocars in Denmark. Tensor is a US-based developer of autonomous and agentic AI vehicles.

It is important to stress that the LOI is exploratory in nature and does not constitute a binding agreement. For investors, this cuts both ways: the outcome is more uncertain, but at the same time, there are no investment obligations attached to it. The collaboration with Tensor provides early access to one of the world’s most advanced autonomous vehicles in a global market where demand is high and supply is limited. Although the agreement is non-binding, it still represents an important step forward.

This marks the company’s first move under its current strategic plan, which runs until 2028 and is based on the existing business, but also includes investments to prepare for the post-2028 era built around driverless vehicles. In addition to the potential for a larger addressable market, supported by the indication of up to 2,000 cars, data from the U.S. robot-taxi market also illustrates why autonomous vehicles could be earnings drivers compared to the current business model, even though a full read-across from the U.S. to Denmark is difficult.

Self-driving cars have 22–26 trips per day, compared to GreenMobility’s 3–6 trips per day. They experience 80% fewer injury-causing crashes, leading to lower damage costs and reduced insurance expenses. Furthermore, peak-demand pricing shows that ride-sharing customers were willing to pay over USD 10 more for driverless rides than standard rides.
