Here is the interview with the new CEO Johan: Solwers Q4'25: Positiivisia merkkejä - Inderes As an addition to the morning comment, I estimated there that net debt/EBITDA remained at around the 5x level, but when including the acquired companies as if they had been owned for the last 12 months, the ratio drops to 4x. I calculated that the December acquisitions were made so affordably that this actually improved the Net debt/EBITDA ratio and helps the company move towards the 3.5x required in the summer. In other respects, the fact that the earnings turnaround is being pushed further ahead once again still left a lukewarm taste regarding the report.

I spotted in Solwers’ financial statement release that “During 2025, new managers were appointed to about half of our Swedish companies, with a clear mandate to improve performance.”  This might create a small dent in the narrative Solwers has been cultivating regarding the excellence of their growth strategy.

Here is Olli’s preview ahead of Solwers’ H2 results on Thursday.  We expect the company’s revenue and earnings to have returned to growth in the final quarter of the year following a challenging first half. In our forecasts, the end of the year was supported by improved utilization rates, implemented cost-saving measures, and acquisitions consolidated into the group since the beginning of December. The focus of the report will be especially on comments regarding the 2026 outlook, the order book, and the development of the balance sheet position, as the realization of earnings growth is critical for reducing the high leverage. Solwers reported its results for Q4 with sales of EUR 20.7m, 11% below our estimate of EUR 23.2m. The reported EBITA (Solwers definition) was EUR 1.0m, 32% below our EUR 1.5m estimate and broadly flat y/y. EBIT of EUR 0.2m came in 83% below our estimate of EUR 1.5m and EUR 0.5m a year ago. The company has continued with its cost savings and achieved a run-rate of EUR 0.3m. The company earlier announced it aims to implement cost savings of almost EUR 1m compared to 2024 cost level. The company notes that the year has started under challenging conditions. No numerical guidance was given, but the company anticipates EBITA to improve from EUR 4.0m in 2025; we expect EUR 7.2m for 2026E. We expect a negative share price reaction on the Q4 report and the weak outlook for the beginning of 2026.
