Marimekko Corporation’s Board of Directors has decided to initiate a share buyback program based on the authorization granted by the Annual General Meeting on April 16, 2026. Marimekko will acquire a maximum of 150,000 of its own shares, representing approximately 0.4 percent of the total number of shares. The shares will be purchased in public trading on Nasdaq Helsinki at the market price prevailing at the time of purchase. The share buyback will commence no earlier than September 15, 2026, and is estimated to end by the end of November 2026.

Consumer confidence has improved in August compared to the June-July level  Consumer confidence, particularly among entrepreneurs and upper-level salaried employees, is starting to be strong; lower-level salaried employees are also at a fairly neutral level. Among blue-collar workers (työntekijät), confidence is slightly negative.  Retail confidence and the business confidence indicator also clearly improved in August.  In the Q2 report, Marimekko still commented on confidence as shown below, so August appears to have brought an improvement to that situation.
