Componenta is a manufacturing company. The company is a supplier of casting solutions that are further used in a number of industrial vehicles, mainly trucks and larger machines. In addition to the main business, related engineering services are offered. Customers are found on a global level, mainly around the European market. The head office is located in Vantaa.

Here are Tomppa’s comments on Componenta recognizing a deferred tax asset of approximately 5.7 million euros in its 2025 financial statements.  Componenta announced on Wednesday that it will recognize a total deferred tax asset of approximately EUR 5.7 million in its 2025 financial statements. The recognition has a significant one-time positive impact on the reported result for the financial year, but it does not affect the company’s cash flow or operational result for the current financial year. The tax asset is larger in scale than our assumption of the tax benefit from confirmed losses in the coming years, and we will review our tax assumptions in connection with the next update. We will add the one-off item to our forecasts in connection with the earnings preview. Yeah, it’s quiet. One thing that caught my eye in that release: “..the recognition is based on the recognition criteria in accordance with IFRS standards and the company’s assessment of future taxable profits. The assessment is supported by the group’s improved operational performance, favorable development in profitability, and a strengthened balance sheet and financial position.” Sounds pretty good indeed.

It’s been a bit of a waiting game with this one. One can certainly look forward to a good result and, of course, the outlook for next year. I visited the agricultural fair in Seinäjoki and it was packed, and bigger storms could theoretically increase demand for Kesla and similar small machinery, so the agri-forestry side could start waking up… I wonder if the dividend taps will also open this year.

Here are Pauli’s and Antti’s good comments regarding the updated guidance.  The updated guidance was better than our forecast for revenue, but in line with expectations for operating profit. Therefore, we do not see the release having a significant impact on our current earnings forecasts. Better-than-expected revenue growth also slightly reduces uncertainty regarding the double-digit growth figures estimated for 2026. The stock is fully priced when measured against the current year’s earnings, but still favorable growth prospects will quickly lower the multiples in the coming years. We are not making any changes for now to Componenta’s Add recommendation or our target price of 4.70 euros. https://www.

As I said, I no longer look at Inderes forecasts but only the company’s own forecasts, and in that respect, the improvement was considerable in 2025. Yes, an IMPROVING result could have been 5 million and still be IMPROVING.

In addition, a positive indication was given for the demand outlook for 2024. Our forecast cuts for 2024 and 2025 are minor and the stock's valuation has fallen to very attractive levels.
