Vincit provides design and software development services. The services include e-commerce and web application software, cloud platforms, mobile applications and IoT solutions. The services are used by both small and medium-sized business customers. The largest operations are in Europe and North America. Vincit was founded in 2007 and is headquartered in Finland.

Vincit has indeed fallen into a really bad spiral now. Many senior-level experts have had enough and left of their own accord, and the company’s reputation among them has collapsed. This situation is really difficult to mend through recruitment because it’s hard to find anyone equally qualified to replace them. And on the other hand, without these seniors, it’s difficult to win tenders.

Kuitunen’s purchases could, at least in principle, slightly raise the share price. Admittedly, Mr. Kuitunen has been steadily accumulating shares throughout the downturn, and no one has gotten rich quick by jumping on that bandwagon. Furthermore, the trading volume for this stock has often been terribly low. Even individual, quite small purchases move the share price more or less randomly. I wouldn’t pay too much attention to changes within a very small time or price range with this (stock), really..

I have been looking for a buying opportunity for this stock, but I don’t understand the basis for the share price increase after the negative earnings warning. If this were purely a product business, I would see the layoffs as a positive thing, because they would generate direct savings. In the consulting business, the situation is different: co-determination negotiations (YT negotiations) and the reduction in personnel clearly indicate that revenue will also weaken next year. Furthermore, the layoffs now target billable personnel, which increases the relative costs of administrative tasks. I believe that in 2026, there will be new co-determination negotiations to specifically adjust administrative roles. As a result, I estimate the share price will drift closer to one euro — a price level at which I myself am willing to buy.

Here is a company report from Joni after the downgrade. We lower Vincit’s target price to EUR 1.35 (previously EUR 1.45) and reiterate our reduce recommendation for the stock. Vincit issued a feared profit warning regarding profitability, which reinforces the picture of the company’s challenging situation. It would be important for the company to stabilize its revenue, but this has proven challenging, and there is no significant market tailwind in sight yet. Thus, in our view, it is critical for the company to initiate new efficiency measures to bring profitability to at least a satisfactory level. The stock’s valuation is tight, although there is potential if a turnaround succeeds, but the risk-reward ratio is not currently attractive.
