Stockholm, Sweden - Polymer Factory has been granted the SpheriCal patent in several European countries. The patent, valid for 20 years, is titled "Functionalized calibrants for spectrometry and chromatography" and was filed on May 29, 2018.

The granted patent covers the following countries: United Kingdom, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Malta, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, and Slovenia.

"Intellectual property rights including patents carry significant commercial value, and it is therefore crucial to have a strong patent strategy that protects the company's technology. As we now begin entering larger agreements with major international companies with strong resources, this becomes particularly important", said Mats Wallnér, CEO of Polymer Factory.
