<div class="abstract">Nordisk Bergteknik has been awarded the role as main contractor for one of Norway's largest landslide protection projects to date. The project, which is being carried out in Honningsvåg on behalf of the municipality of Nordkapp, has a contract value of approximately 140 MSEK and strengthens Nordisk Bergteknik's position as a leading player in rock and mountain stabilization in the Nordic region.</div>- We are very proud to have been entrusted with leading this work, which contributes to increased safety in the area. Working in such sensitive terrain without the possibility of using machinery requires a high level of expertise and the experience we have built up through many years of work in challenging environments across the Nordic region. This is yet another step in strengthening our position as a leading player in Nordic mountain and rock stabilization, says Andreas Christoffersson, CEO of Nordisk Bergteknik. The project will be carried out on the mountainside above the center of Honningsvåg to protect the town from future snow avalanches and rockfalls. The work takes place under extremely demanding environmental conditions where the use of machinery is not possible. All work is performed manually directly on the mountainside, using drilling equipment that is lifted in by helicopter. Planning will begin during the winter of 2025/2026, and completion is expected in the autumn of 2027.
