Under the agreement, Nightingale Health analyses the finger-prick blood samples of Coronaria's customers and delivers the results to Coronaria. From a single blood sample, the Remote Health Check produces a 10-year risk estimate for five chronic diseases: heart attack, ischemic stroke, type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and fatty liver disease. At the same time, it measures a broad set of blood values, including lipids, fatty acids, amino acids, sugar metabolism, and chronic inflammation. The first test is taken before the weight management service begins, giving the customer and Coronaria's professionals an objective picture of the starting point. A repeat test after the service shows how the customer's disease risks and blood values have changed.

The weight management service launched by Coronaria Kuntoutuspalvelut is an evidence-based 12-month care pathway that combines medical services, medication where needed, monitoring, digital support to keep the customer motivated, and the support of health professionals such as a psychotherapist or a physiotherapist. The Remote Health Check is part of this whole: it is used to assess the customer's starting point and to follow the effects of the treatment on their health.
