The Atløy Link is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the Vestland region. When completed, it will simplify and strengthen connections between Atløy island and the mainland, near Askvoll in western Norway.
NCC has been tasked with constructing three bridges together with associated roads connecting the mainland and the islands. While two of these bridges are of a smaller scope, the third and largest bridge - at a length of 925 meters and height of 42 meters - will span the waters of Granesundet.
"For the local community and for the region as a whole, this is an important initiative that will improve mobility, traffic safety and regional development. We are looking forward to starting this project, which will be of great importance for many years to come," says Tomas Brannemo, Head of NCC Infrastructure.
Works commence in August with completion scheduled in 2030.
The project is a turnkey contract. The order is valued at approximately SEK 1.4 billion and will be registered in the third quarter of 2026 in the NCC Infrastructure business area.
