Thunderful Group today announces that Martin Walfisz takes office as new CEO in the company 28 August. Martin is an experienced games in-dustry entrepreneur, executive and advisor of leading companies in the Nordic and European games industry.
In May Thunderful Group presented the recruitment of Martin Walfisz as new CEO, and today announces that he takes office on 28 August, 2023.
Martin started his career in the games industry in 1997 when he founded Massive Entertainment. It is today one of Europe's premier development studios and when Ubisoft acquired the company in 2008, Martin decided to leave to focus on other commitments. The last few years Martin has primarily worked for the media conglomerate Egmont, which headhunted him in 2016 to establish a new M&A division—Nordisk Games—focusing on investing in, and developing, game companies across Europe.
