Major Norwegian public authority deploys IDEX Total Access Card
A major Norwegian public authority has chosen IDEX Total Access Card to eliminate shoulder surfing vulnerabilities and consolidate physical and digital access onto a single, passwordless solution.
The organization faced a critical security gap: PIN codes remain visible to observers, creating significant risk in high-traffic access points. IDEX Total Access Card solves this by replacing passwords, PINs, and multi-credential systems with a single biometric card that works for both physical access and digital authentication – eliminating the attack surface entirely.
"This deployment shows public sector security leaders understand the fundamental flaw in password-based systems," said Anders Storbråten, CEO of IDEX Biometrics. "One card, biometric security, zero passwords. It's what organizations need, and IDEX delivers it."
The pilot is scheduled to commence within the coming weeks, and the paid contract represents a milestone for IDEX. Subject to a successful pilot outcome, the Company intends to pursue further scaling of its commercial footprint within high-security markets.
