Magnora operates in the energy sector. The company invests in renewable energy solutions, such as wind and solar power. The company is active in the entire value chain, from the identification of investment opportunities, to the completetment phase. Magnora operates worldwide, with the largest presence in the Nordic market. The company was originally founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Oslo.

The stock rose just as much before the Data Center listing and fell once it was spun off. Even though shareholders didn’t get anything from it. For a long-term shareholder, this is completely irrelevant. The company delivers what it has promised and that is all that matters. Now the company is starting share buybacks again. Could someone analyze why this drop is happening? If the data center business has been spun off into its own company and they remain owners there, what exactly is making this bad for the company, considering it has dropped this much in such a short time (assuming that is the reason)?

Whoops-a-daisy. Magnora’s IPO has sent the stock into quite a tailspin. It’s now down 25% in less than a week, and the momentum is only picking up. Interesting moves!

The decline has intensified during the day, and we’re now seeing -8% on the board. The market’s reaction seems like an overreaction..

On Monday 8 June, Magnora ASA's subsidiary Magnora Data Center ASA goes public on Euronext Growth Oslo under the ticker MDATA. The company has until now been a fully owned subsidiary of Magnora ASA, but has recently completed a private placement raising gross proceeds of NOK 650 million, and Magnora ASA now holds 52.7% of the shares.   Omistaa 52,7 % annin jälkeen.

Did this go such that Magnora remains the majority owner of that data center company, but at least for the time being, these shares will not be distributed to shareholders?

Trading began for Magnora Data Center shares with a ~22% increase. At the same time, Magnora is -1%.
