Katalysen Ventures AB: Katalysen to significantly increase its ownership in Aike Media and establish a turn-around team
Katalysen Ventures AB (publ) ("Katalysen") today announces that, through an additional investment, the company will significantly increase its ownership in portfolio company Aike Media AB (publ) ("Aike Media"). In connection with this, Katalysen, together with Martin Krona, will establish a dedicated turn-around team that will take a leading operational role in the company.
Aike Media is a technology and marketing company focused on social media, with a proprietary platform for influencer marketing and data-driven campaigns. The platform helps brands identify relevant content creators, execute collaborations, and track campaign performance in real time through advanced data analytics and AI-based analysis tools. The company combines technology, data and creative campaign services to help businesses reach and engage target audiences on social media.
Katalysen sees significant potential in Aike Media's technology, business model and market position. By strengthening its ownership and taking an active operational role, Katalysen intends, together with the new operational leadership, to carry out a focused development effort within the company. The initiative also reflects Katalysen's model of developing portfolio companies in special situations through active ownership and operational engagement.
The development work will be carried out in two stages. In the first stage, a focused turn-around effort will be implemented with the objective of stabilizing the business, strengthening profitability and establishing a clear strategic and operational foundation. As part of this work, the turn-around team will focus on areas including strategy, organization, business development, financing and commercialization in order to strengthen the company's competitiveness and long-term value creation. In the second stage, the ambition is to further develop the business and accelerate expansion based on this strengthened foundation.
Martin Krona will assume the role of operational lead of the turn-around team and will be responsible for executing the company's development plan. He has an extensive and well-established background in the media and communications industry, including as former CEO of WPP Media Sweden, where he led the company through periods of strong growth. Since then, he has worked as an entrepreneur and strategic advisor in marketing, martech and digital transformation through his own company, Kronas AdVenture.

Operational work will begin immediately and will initially focus on strengthening the company's commercial offering, improving organizational efficiency and ensuring a stable financial structure. Once stability and operational efficiency have been established, the work will gradually transition into a more clearly defined expansion phase. Katalysen's objective is, through active ownership and close operational support, to create a clear improvement in the company's performance over the coming 12-24 months.
