This aligns perfectly with the aims of non-profit organization RAD. Founded by gamers, RAD's mission is to provide universal mental health care. They want to eliminate the obstacles that prevent individuals from receiving vital treatment by covering the costs of therapy and connecting those in need with appropriate resources.
RAD's innovative approach to raising awareness and assisting people in accessing the mental health care they require resonates with Fractal's approach to gaming community engagement. Our shared presence on platforms like Twitch enables us to leverage the Fractal Creator Program network of streamers to spread awareness and support RAD's cause even further.
As a prelude to our partnership, Fractal served as the primary sponsor for a charity event held in September and October, benefiting RAD. Rise Above The Disorder (RAD) started in 2012 with the aim to help people access mental health care. The founder began this journey in the World of Warcraft community. RAD initially focused on connecting people with therapists but soon realized that cost was a major barrier to mental health care. So, they became a community-funded effort and have since covered the cost of mental health care for tens of thousands of people.
