Eezy operates in staffing and recruitment. The company offers solutions in several sectors, mainly in construction and civil engineering, electrical engineering and the manufacturing industry. In addition, HR support is offered as well as support and training in the work areas. The largest operations are found in the Nordic and Baltic markets. The company was previously known as VMP Group and is headquartered in Helsinki.

The number of shares bought by Savolainen is almost equivalent to the total number of shares of Meissa-Capital. I wonder if some kind of swing trading is going on.

In a business like Eezy, it is worth noting that VAT debt is normally quite substantial. With a normal payment rhythm, VAT debt at the end of the month is for two months, as VAT is always paid on the 12th day of the month after the following month.  If one roughly estimates VAT debt based on Q4, the amount of VAT payable at the end of December was (2/3) * (33,955 + 115) * 0.255 = 5,792 thousand euros. Deductible VAT is approximately (2/3) * (1,760 + 3,258) * 0.255 = 853 thousand euros. The total VAT debt at the end of December would be 5,792 - 853 = 4,939 thousand euros. Balance sheet changes naturally also affect the amount of VAT, and not all payments generate deductible/payable VAT. Default interest begins to accrue when payment is delayed past the 12th day. A 5 million euro portion subject to default interest would mean that VAT debts have been unpaid for approximately 2 months.

A couple of notable points from the company presentation video. I can’t be bothered to read through the document as I’m not participating in this now, all my money is already tied up elsewhere: Management is confident that the new strategy will move things forward. Ex-CEO Sami Asikainen was equally confident when the stock was around 5 euros. Is it different this time, no one knows the future. An audience question about whether the company’s management intends to participate in the share issue with their own money. After a bit of wriggling, I got the impression that they are not investing their own money. They will probably receive free shares later as part of the management’s compensation arrangements. The future was spoken about in a positive tone, but since the promises of previous years have not materialized and the risks on the balance sheet cannot be assessed by an outsider (other than on a general level), the responsibility remains with the listener.

Promising future has been sold for a long time, of course… And behind the misery, there is also the misery of Finland. I haven’t listened to anything yet except the questions from the end, but apparently, when it was said that the covenants would be met, this share offering was not taken into account. It probably wouldn’t have been, as it wasn’t announced. But in any case, a big subscription. Over one tenth of the entire offering.

True! I didn’t look closely enough. It was cheaper than on the stock market. That €0.28 would have only been in line with what the warrant was valued at before it detached from the share.

To my eye, there’s one more zero there, making it 0.028.
