Cityvarasto Acquires Property in Nummela – Modern Self-Storage Hotel to Open in the Area in 2027
Cityvarasto Plc continues its growth in the Uusimaa region and has acquired a property located at Juurikuja 4, 03100 Nummela. The transaction includes a 5,602 m² property and a 1,458 m² building complex completed in 1988. The property is situated approximately two kilometres from the centre of Nummela.
“This is Cityvarasto’s first location in Vihti. We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of self-storage services and bring our solutions closer to customers. Nummela is an excellent location for this purpose,” says Ville Stenroos, CEO of Cityvarasto Plc.
As part of the arrangement, HomCare Nordic Oy, which has operated on the property for a long time, will remain as a tenant in approximately half of the hall building's premises. The remaining space will be gradually converted into self-storage units.
“What makes this property particularly attractive is that it enables us to launch operations in phases. At the same time, we can develop the site over the long term and provide the area with a high-quality self-storage hotel that meets customers’ needs,” Stenroos explains.
Cityvarasto is expanding its network of locations, particularly in areas where population growth and changing housing needs are increasing demand for flexible additional storage space. The Nummela property supports the company’s strategy of growing its nationwide service network and strengthening its position as Finland’s leading self-storage operator.
The goal is to open a modern self-storage hotel at the property in early 2027.
