SCA is a Swedish company active in the forest industry, wood and paper production, as well as renewable energy and biofuels. The company processes raw materials from forests into products such as wood products, pulp, paper and bioenergy. The company also offers services to forest owners. SCA operates in markets globally, through exports and partnerships. The company was founded in 1929 and is headquartered in Sundsvall, Sweden.

Q1 2026 is out and, given the economic situation, one can only state that there isn’t much to write home about. Except for one footnote of a footnote, italics at the end are my own: “January–March 2026 compared with January–March 2025 Revenue increased 10% to SEK 662m (603). Higher selling prices and higher delivery volumes had a positive impact on revenue. EBITDA increased 54% to SEK 206m (134). The EBITDA margin was 31.1% (22.2). SCA Q2/2025 is out, and SCA published quite acceptable figures. Compared to Finnish forest companies, SCA is interesting because the company has completely ceased the production of printing papers. In addition, SCA is involved in SAF fuels together with ST1. Anything new with the Swedish cellulose division?  Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA..

SCA’s share price is around SEK 115. Nordea estimates the per-share value of SCA’s forest assets, covering over two million hectares, to be SEK 99, or about 86% of the share’s value. This suggests there might still be some upside potential for the actual business, even though the share has performed much better than average during the coronavirus turmoil. SCA has a lot of room for improvement in return on equity.

Could I get a comparison to Norske Skog as well, please? You can choose the perspectives, but you would do that anyway.  Yeah, people here are shouting without considering distance and time.
