Scandinavian Astor Group AB: Scandinavian Astor Group appoints Chief Business Development Officer
Scandinavian Astor Group (`Astor Group' or the `Company') is strengthening its executive management by creating a new role: Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO). Astor Group has recruited Emelie Agnedal who will take up the role on September 1, 2025. The role is part of the Company's long-term growth strategy and aims to further accelerate business development within the group.
"Emelie has a strong track record in business development, strategic partnership and international sales. Her technical background, experience and drive will be a valuable addition to our efforts to continue building a leading defence and industrial group", says Mattias Hjorth, CEO of Astor Group.
Emelie Agnedal holds a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Uppsala University and has over 15 years of experience in the defence industry, both from the supplier and government side. She joins us from MilDef, where she was Director of Business Development with responsibility for the group's business development strategy, strategic partnerships and M&A activities. Previous roles at MilDef include Head of Sales Sweden and Head of Project Manager for integration projects. Prior to that, she worked for several years at Swedish Defence Material Administration (FMV) with leading roles in Naval command and control systems, weapon systems and tactical data links, as well as being the Swedish representative in international defence working groups. She has also been a technical consultant at AFRY in areas such as communication systems and Electromagnetic Warfare. The newly created role covers a broad area of responsibility including business development for the entire group, responsibility for strategic partnerships, strategy and M&A activities.
