Better Collective is a leading digital sports media group that develops educational platforms within the iGaming industry. It was founded in 2004 and listed on the Nasdaq OMX Nordic Exchange Stockholm AB in 2018. The majority of Better Collective's revenue is generated through affiliate marketing. Better Collective facilitates single affiliate journeys; when users arrive at a Better Collective platform and activate an affiliate link in order to sign up with a partnerning operator, Better Collective earns an affiliate commission. The type of comission varies and can be based either on revenue share or by getting a single Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) fee. In some cases the comission can be a mixture of both. Currently, Better Collective operates through two business segments, publishing and paid media. Its publishing segment hosts platforms designed to improve the igaming experience by creating communities, comparing odds, facilitating the sharing of analysis and tips, providing educational content, and more. Better Collective generates revenue from referral fees when users are directed from its platforms to betting operators’ sites. Betting operators pay Better Collective when users bet and sign up to their platforms. Better Collective's paid media segment focuses on lead generation for igaming and was initiated via the acquisition of Atemi Group in 2020. The segment relies on paid media and social media advertising to bring customers to the platforms of its fee-paying betting operator clients.

Good question. I don’t speculate such things because reality is that we don’t know. They may know something we don’t – but I have quite high conviction in this case unfolding as I write in my full analysis (at least directionally)… I could be wrong; time will tell.

BETCO down -5% today. The gambling sector (FLUT & DKNG etc.) were down because Illinois announced tax hikes in the form of transaction tax per bet. I don’t see them having impact on BETCO as an affiliate.  The shorts % are slowly increasing and they’re at 6% currently. Do you see potential here if shorters are forced to close? That was a good article, thanks for posting! Yeah there’s not a lot of discussion about the company.  I have no idea how the markets will perceive the Q1 results, but it sounds like they’re on the right track. It was positive to hear that they’re doing well in LatAm outside of Brazil. From following Betsson, I believe countries like Argentina are just as important to growth. They’re also reshaping management which sounds good.  By the end of April, Better Collective has embarked on a transformative journey to align our organizational structure with our long-term strategic objectives. Recognizing the need for enhanced scalability, focus, and global integration, we have transitioned to a model that better supports our growth ambitions.   Central to this transformation is the introduction of a Co-CEO leadership structure. Christian Kirk Rasmussen has joined Jesper Søgaard as Co-CEO, with Christian focusing on innovation, business development, and operational execution, while Jesper continues to spearhead external strategic initiatives and engagement with external stakeholders. Together, they form a robust leadership duo, geared to guide Better Collective into a new era of growth.  My overall view on BETCO is that they’re facing temporary headwinds but the long-term outlook is great. Their balance sheet is in good shape, since they were able to raise share capital in early Q1/24 with a high share price.  I would definitely not call it a crisis-company or anything like that.  It remains to be seen what are the long-term effects of SEO changes, and how much “Slower US partner activity” contributes to financial results.

The main figures were already known in advance, so my interest focused on the guidance. I was disappointed that the 2025 guidance for revenue and EBITDA is practically flat compared to 2024, meaning difficulties seem to continue this year. Now, the focus is shifting from M&A mode to efficiency improvements and defending/restarting organic growth, which admittedly sounds more like a defensive than an offensive move. However, a share buyback covering about 1.5% of the outstanding shares at the current valuation is quite positive news for supporting the price. I personally fear that the results will not be received very positively. Are the current multiples still justified in the short term if no growth is even promised for this year?

Q4 report out. Is anyone else following the company?
