<div class="abstract">Fulfilling the Company's goal of expanding the range of applications for its calibration technology SpheriCal®, the Company has today commercially released calibrants for Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometry (IM-MS). The new technology was launched during the ongoing 72nd ASMS Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics (ASMS) in Anaheim, USA, where Polymer Factory is exhibiting.</div>Earlier this year, the Company announced the publication of a scientific article where scientists performed a proof-of-concept and suitability study on the use of compounds from Polymer Factory's SpheriCal® platform to tune and calibrate IM-MS devices. The article showed very promising results, and the Company has now translated these results into commercial products.During 2023, Polymer Factory engaged collaborators for evaluations within several new calibration areas, where IM-MS was represented. SpheriCal® is used as a high-performance calibrant to ensure the instruments do not provide misleading data. SpheriCal® is an innovative technology designed to meet the calibration requirements of MALDI, ESI, and IM-MS instruments. These MS techniques are widely applied to the analysis of biomolecules, e.g., DNA, proteins, peptides, and sugars, as well as large organic molecules including polymers, dendrimers, and other macromolecules, and for use in proteomics.
